Maternal Journal December

Thank you everyone who came to #Maternaljournal from St Helens, Kent, Leeds and Manchester.  What difference does Maternal Journal make?  Here’s some feedback from tonight’s session”  Aileen

Here’s is what mums said after (and about) the Maternal Journal session from St Helens in December with Aileen:

I felt tired and worn out before, now, it’s shifted to a calm sort of tiredness. There’s more clarity now, I know what I need to do for myself this week.

I knew that I needed alone time in nature, but haven’t been able to do that as my anxiety makes that anything but calming for me, I started painting and ended up painting a picture of myself, on beach that my grandparents took me too. In the picture I was walking with a dog, which I realised was my parents dog lucky, hopefully this week take a walk on that beach with him xx

After a really stressful week, this really made me relax and unwind. The reflection time helped me to realise something I think will help me loads going forward.

I love the enveloping feeling of space this forum gives me. I really resonated with some of the things other mums shared and I’ve got some next steps to do now!

Really gave me chance to reflect and get some clarity around a good self-care routine.

I feel inspired & focused.

This was a safe place to discuss my thoughts and feelings. Space to reflect on my needs and great to hear other’s feedback.

A great space to just be still and reflect. Thank you

I felt able to consider myself and think what I need this evening, rather than just responding to everyone else’s needs.  I feel relaxed and calm.

This has enabled me to relax before a very difficult day tomorrow and mentally prepare. Also I have enjoyed the craft I have completed for myself in my journal.

Before Maternal Journal, I was rushing from one thing to another, this gave me time to myself, to do something just for me.
