Birth trauma recovery
“I wasn’t sure if I was trying to do this too early after the birth, but…my partner says thanks to My Birth Recovery course, I’m more grounded, calmer, more in touch with here and now, mindful…(I’m) not needing alcohol as much…getting in touch with my creative side has helped me avoid getting postnatal depression.”

Our My Birth Recovery support is quite unique. Whether it’s been 2 months or 22 years since your unexpected, unwanted or traumatic experience, we’re here to help you. We know from the feedback from hundreds of parents that our “My Birth Recovery” support really does make a difference.
It’s unique because rather than offering therapy we will teach you a whole toolkit of strategies to care for and help yourself to come to terms with what happened. The toolkit includes some journaling, CBT, self-compassion, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or tapping), hypnotherapy, mindfulness, relaxation and breathing techniques. As you practise these in and between sessions you will grow in confidence and learn to trust yourself going forward.
Our “My Birth Recovery” support will help you:
- Acknowledge and validate your feelings and experiences in a safe space
- Feel seen and heard
- Learn a whole toolkit of techniques that help you cope in everyday life
- Decide which experiences you want to treasure and which ones to release
- Get ‘unstuck’ from difficult emotions, such as anxiety, depression or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, whether your birth experience was recent or years ago.
Thanks to grants, it’s more affordable:
- 1:1 “My Birth Recovery” Course of 6 x 2 hour sessions £300 for the whole course or £60 per session.

Our “My Birth Recovery” support has made a difference to so many families:
“At the start of the course, I felt tired, confused and guilty. I had bad anxiety. Now I feel calm, forgiving and hopeful. I believed fear and guilt were part of my story, now I know with time they will no longer feature!”

“After 22 years since my birth experience, this course has given me the opportunity to change how I think and feel about the birth – it’s changed me and empowered me as a woman and a mother. I found victories I had forgotten and an inner strength I never knew I had. Thank you!”

“I felt so supported and understood and even though the subject matter was sometimes hard, there were lots of times to laugh and have fun.”
